Marilyn "Mernie" Grauerholz, 68, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at her home in Cimarron.
She was born April 8, 1944 at Garden City, the daughter of Donald Dean and Pearl Burns Scott. She was a graduate of Cimarron High School and a lifetime Gray County resident. She was a waitress at many restaurants in Gray County, worked for Cimarron Insurance, for several years drove the mail truck from Dodge City to Coolidge and was a clerk at White's Foodliner in Cimarron.
She was a member of the Cimarron United Methodist Church.
On July 1, 1997 she married Eldon Grauerholz at Cimarron. He survives.
Other survivors include: 2 sons, Rod Davis and wife Cynthia, Cimarron and Brad Davis and wife Jamie, Salina; 2 step-sons, Bryan Grauerholz and wife Bonnie, Kansas City, Missouri and Scott Grauerholz, Gladstone, Missouri; a brother, Richard Scott, Cimarron; a sister, Phyllis Gleason, Manhattan; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Timothy Davis, a grandson, Blake Stanley and a niece, Tereasa Scott.
Memorial services will be 1:30 pm Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Cimarron United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Keating officiating. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron. Private family burial will be at a later date.
