James Andrew (Andy) Brown, 54, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at his home in Dodge City.
He was born on October 23, 1958 at Ft. Worth, Texas the son of James Alfred and Pauline (Myer) Brown.
Andy moved to Dodge City in 2001 from Amarillo, Texas. He worked at National Beef in maintence as Superintendent for Ground Beef Maintenance. Andy enjoyed four wheeling, camping, shooting guns, and carpentry work. He was a Christian.
Andy and Denise were married on April 15, 1995 at Amarillo, Texas. She survives.
Andy is also survived by one brother, Jeff Brown and wife Norma of San Angelo, Texas; one step-son, Justin Hemelstrand and wife Erin of Amarillo, Texas; three grandsons, Duncan, Parker, and Bowen Hemelstrand; two brothers-in-law and families; one sister-in-law and family; mother-in-law and father-in-law and wife; three nieces; two nephews; four great-nieces; and five great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jamye Hunt.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Swaim Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register book from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Swaim Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.
