The Dodge City Lady Demons finished second in the Buffalo Track Invitational while the Red Demons finished third on the boys side of the meet.
The Lady Demons scored 109 points as a team, second to the host Lady Buffaloes (146). Liberal was third (90), followed by Scott City (62), Colby (58), Ulysses (40), Larned (38) and Holcomb (12).
Summer Wilson won two events: the 100 hurdles in a time of 15.40). Wilson also finished second in the high jump (5-0) and third in the long jump (16-0).
Katrina Roenfeldt won the javelin with a throw of 114-8 and also finished fourth in the triple jump (33-9).
The 4x100 relay team also won their race in a time of 50.86.
Other Lady Demons who finished in the top four included Ciera Lampe (discus, 100-6, second; javelin, 105-10, third), Chandra Sain (pole vault, 8-0, second), Brett Flax (100, 12.87, fourth; 200, 26.77, third), Jessie Harshberger (400, 1:03.94, third), and Macy Mock (100 hurdles, 17.29, fourth; 300 hurdles, 51.25, fourth).
The Red Demons scored 87 points as a team behind Liberal (189) and Garden City (125). Ulysses was fourth (58) followed by Holcomb (56.5), Scott City (30), Colby (10.5) and Larned (1).
Bryce Sonday won two events on the day. Sonday threw the discus 161-4 to win that event, and launched the shot put 51-9 1/2 to win that event.
Oscar Carmona also won two events on the day: the 1,600 (4:24.94) by almost eight seconds and the 3,200 (9:46.39) by more than 16 seconds.
Elder Colindres won the 800 (2:01.38) and finished third in the 1,600 (4:42.01).
Other Red Demons who finished in the top four included Victor Ortiz (pole vault, 13-0, third) and Trace Pike (high jump, 5-10, fourth).
