During the work session at the County Commission meeting Monday, commissioners were updated on the progress of a new wind farm in Bloom. Norvento LLS is working on a wind farm project that will be constructed in southern Ford County in areas including Bloom and Appleton.
According to Sharon Seibel, county clerk, Norvento is making progress with land leases and acquisition. They hope to begin construction in 2014 and be operational by 2015," Seibel said.
In other business the commission:
• Approved Attachment #3 to the Local Universal Contract. The attachment adds the Kansas Department of Health and Environment aid to the current contract. Previously it was not included.
