  • Shirley Ann Endres, 63, died May 19, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City, Kansas .  She was born on November 6, 1949 at Colby, KS the daughter of  Charles  and Eunice  (Lintel) Weber.
    Shirley graduated from Goodland High School in 1967 and later graduated from Dodge City Community College Nursing Program in 1995. She married Mikel Bauer in 1968, they later divorced. Shirley married David Endres  in Spearville in 2001, he survives. Shirley owned and operated her own beauty salon for many years before going to work as a LPN at the Kansas Soldiers Home at Ft. Dodge. In her spare time Shirley enjoyed going fishing, playing cards, going to the casino and going camping with her family and friends.
    She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Altar Society of Spearville.
    She is survived by her husband David of the home, her parents Charles and Eunice Weber of Goodland, Kansas, one daughter Krysti Blackman and husband Bruce of Wichita; two sons Keith Bauer and wife Ginger and Kurt Bauer both of Burrton, Kansas; eight grandchildren and one step grandchild. She is also survived by three brothers Gary Weber and wife Anna Mary of Milliken, Colorado; Jim Weber and wife Sandy of Burlington, Colorado; Dennis Weber and wife Patty of Hays, Kansas; three sisters Becky Wishcop of Berthoud, Colorado; Debra Nider and husband Mark of Burlington, Colorado; Lori Amthor and husband Jerry of Goodland,Kansas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  
    Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ted Stoecklein and Deacon Dwaine Lampe presiding. Inurnment will be held at a later date, as cremation will take place following the funeral mass. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, May 23, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
