Lorren Harold Perkins, 74, died June 4, 2013 in Ford County. He was born on April 25,1939 in Dodge City, the son of James H. and Minnie Helen (Wintholz) Perkins.

Lorren Harold Perkins, 74, died June 4, 2013 in Ford County. He was born on April 25,1939 in Dodge City, the son of James H. and Minnie Helen (Wintholz) Perkins. Lorren graduated from Ford High School in 1957. He lived in Dodge City where he worked for his fomer father-in-law farming in the Cimarron area. Lorren then moved to Kinsman and then to Palco, Ks where he retired from the farmland industry, hauling crude oil. He raised calfs, which he loved, until his health failed then he moved to Cimarron for the remainer of his life.
Lorren is survived by two children, Todd Perkins and wife Lesley of Wichita and Janay Pollington and companion Shawn King of Cimarron; two brothers, James N. Perkins of Derby and Donald D. Perkins and wife Donna of Hutchinson; four sisters, LaVone H. Perkins of Dodge City, Barbara A. Perkins of Derby, Alice M. Moore and husband Dennis of San Antonio, and his twin, Lorine H. Trent and husband Gerald of Dodge City; and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Lorren "Wynn" Perkins; and brother John Perkins and companion Chris Jones.
Graveside memorial service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Reverends Jim and Lydia Ames presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Donor's Choice in care of Swaim Funeral Home; 1901 6th Ave, Dodge City, KS.
