  •  Bette C. Wilson, "Aunt Bette" 76, died July 11, 2013 at Good Samaritan Society, Dodge City.  She was born on February 16, 1937 at Dodge City, the daughter of Jesse L. and Grace Mildred (Guilford) Board.
    Bette attended Dodge City schools and graduated from Dodge City Sr. High School in 1955. She married Harold G.Wilson June 29, 1955. Bette worked for Bill and Lyla Miller for several years. Bette was known as "Aunt Bette" by most.  She was a foster parent to many.  Bette will be missed by family and friends.
    She is survived by her husband Harold G. Wilson, Dodge City; a son, Curtis Wilson and companion Karen Paden, Ellsworth; a brother, Joe Braley, Dodge City; her grandson, Jamaal Wilson, Dodge City; nephews, Jesse M. Board, Detroit, Michigan, Floyd M. Board, Jacksonville, Florida, and Calvin R. Board, Jr. Dodge City; nieces, Emiko A. Board-Charbonneau and husband Bill A. Charbonneau, Cypresss, Texas and Tonja L. Reed, Dodge City; and a host of family and friends. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Phillip Braley, Calvin Board, Sr. and Lester Braley; and four sisters, Augustine Reed, Annabelle Thompson, Frances Mixon and Jessie Mae Broils. The family would like to thank the staff of Fresenius Medical Care of Dodge City.
    A memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Lance Carrithers presiding. Cremation has taken place. Friends May sign the guest book on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at the funeral home from 9AM to 5PM.  Memorials are suggested to Kansas Dialysis Association in care of the funeral home.
