  • Dodge City resident Latisha M. Holguin, 33, was arrested Tuesday, July 9, as part of a Drug Task Force operation with The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI).
    Holguin is currently being charged with six counts including:
    Intentionally distributing more than 100 grams of stimulant and 458 grams of meth-amphetamine, drug severity level one (nonperson felony) punishable by a prison term of 138 to 204 months and a fine up to $500,000; Unlawfully and intenionally agreeing with another person to commit a crime, to involve a distribution of more than 100 grams of methamphatmine, drug severity level one (non person felony) punishable by a prison term of 132 to 198 months and a fine up to $500,000; Unlawfully and knowingly receiving drug proceeds, severity level five, punishable by a prison term of 10 to 42 months and a fine up to $100,000, Use of drug paraphernalia  to distribute, severity level five, punishable by a prison term of 10 to 42 months and a fine up to $100,000; Using a communication facility, severity level eight, punishable by a prison term of 7 to 23 months and a fine up to $100,000; No drug/tax stamp, severity level ten, punishable by a prison term of 5 to  13 months with a fine up to $100,000.
    A $500,000 cash and/or insured bond has been set, stipulating defendant not leave the state of Kansas, defendant has not posted bail and remains in custody.  Holguin is scheduled for a docket preliminary hearing, Thursday, July 18, at 1 p.m.  
    Assistant Ford County attorney, David Belling, has been assigned as the prosecuting attorney for the case.
    KBI was not available for comments at press time.
