  • Edna V. Reynolds, 99, died Monday, July 22, 2013 at Presbyterian
    Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.  She was born December 24, 1913 at Dodge City, the daughter of Charles “C.B.” and Lena Merk Allen.  A lifetime Dodge City area resident, she was a homemaker and as well as teaching school for 12 years in the community of Sears, west of Dodge City.  She was very fond of her family, church and animals.  
    She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Howell Extension, Old Timers Club, the Methodist Quilters and numerous others all in Dodge City.  
    On September 6, 1942 she married Charles “Andy” Reynolds at Bellflower, California.  He preceded her in death on August 20, 2005.  Survivors include: her son, Dr. Allen Reynolds and wife Barbara, Dodge City; a brother, Dr. Donald Allen,San Jose, California; a sister, Pauline Irsik, Garden City; a son-in-law, David Clough, Hays; 5 grandchildren, Renae Ann Mercado and husband Anthony, Kimberly Kay Padget and husband Michael, Christopher Andrew Reynolds, Christina Lynn Lueth and David Andrew Clough; 10 great grandchildren, Scarlett Mercado, Schandon Mercado, Kaiton Faith Padget, Brecken Trace Padget, Marissa Reynolds, Garret Lueth, Chason Lueth, Dorian Lueth, Lawson Clough and Vincent Clough; and 1 great great grandchild, Wyatt Lueth.  
    She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Lynn Clough, 2 brothers, Horace and Lester Allen, a sister, Eldred Johnson and a granddaughter-in-law, Tracey Renae Reynolds.
    Memorial services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Mr. Barney Korbelik, CRE officiating.  Friends may sign the register from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.  Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.  
    The family suggests memorials to the First Presbyterian Church in care of Ziegler  Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.  Condolences may be sent to www.zieglerfuneralchapel.com.
