  • You can sense it all across town. In business near and far, on bike paths and in gyms around town, teams are training and preparing for this year’s Corporate Challenge Wacky Trikes race on Thursday, August 1st at Wright Park. It’s all part of Dog Day Afternoon sponsored by Pepsi. It’s excitement that never stops.
    Tour de Trike
The days highlight will be the Wacky Trike Races in Wright Park. Races on the adult-sized tricycles begin at 11:30 a.m. The team from the Credit Union of Dodge City will be defending their title from last year’s race. Stiff competition is also expected from perennial favorite the National Guard Team and others. The 4-Person Teams from 16 or more businesses will be competing for this year’s bragging rights. Entry forms for teams can be obtained from the Chamber office.
    Hot Dog Day Afternoon
Pepsi will be serving up hot dogs, chips, and Pepsi for only $1.00. Come cheer on your favorite team, have a hot dog and Pepsi and enjoy the Dog Day Afternoon of August 1st at Wright Park during the 2013 Dodge City Days.
“I’m not sure if it’s more fun to watch the teams’ race, or to be one of the team members competing. I’ve done both,” said Chamber Dodge City Days Coordinator, Addy Melendez. “One this is for certain, this is truly one of the more crowd and team crazy events we have during Dodge City Days. Anything can happen. Just be sure to pay attention to turn number 1,” she added.
