Ken and Phyllis Cole celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary a little early, with a family trip to Branson, Missouri in July. They all had a great time, which included attending The Prise is Right Show, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede and The Sons of the Pioneers show. Several in the group took helicopter rides, raced on the Go-carts, toured the Hollywood Wax Museum, played miniature golf, rode the Ducks, and of course, shopped.
The first evening together, following The Price is Right, the entire family celebrated their anniversary around the pool with cake, refreshments, cards and gifts.
Ken and Phyllis were married on Sunday, August 11, 1963 in the First Church of God, in Dodge City, Kansas and were able to attend church there last Sunday, August 11, 2013, exactly 50 years later.
Ken is a retired insurance agent and farmer, and Phyllis is a retired nurse. They have spent the last 46 years in Hodgeman County.
Ken and Phyllis were honored to be able to celebrate this special event with their children, Jeff and Michelle Cole, Mike and Stephanie Ochs, Mike Cole and friend George Llorenz.
