Dodge City. The Cultural Relations Advisory Board is accepting applications for the fall session of the Community Engagement Partnership Program!
“The purpose of the program is to open communications and increase civic engagement. Sessions are designed to provide discussion opportunities between the community leaders and residents. Residents will become knowledgeable of city leadership routines and responsibilities plus discover ways to become involved in the community,” stated Greta Clark, Chairman of the Cultural Relations Advisory Board.
The five-week sessions will cover local government, city and county public safety, education and tourism. The Tuesday sessions run from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The first session is scheduled to meet at City Hall on September 24, 2013. The cost of the program is $15.00.
“The session leaders and Board members were very pleased with the spring program and the conversations that took place with the class participants,” said Jane Longmeyer, staff liaison to the Board. “We have had several class members step forward and become involved in various activities which helps us be more inclusive of all our residents.”
Applications are available at City Hall, 806 N. Second Ave. or by calling Jane at 225-8100. Application deadline is September 18th.
