  • Dodge City Public Library will be a busy place on Saturday, September 7th. From 10am-2pm the Friends of the Library will be having their monthly book sale. Come to the back of the library and enter where the sign directs you. This room was included in the library remodeling and as a result, the book sale has new items. But it's not just books; look for some audio books on cassette, some videos, and perhaps other items as well. The Friends of the Library supports special projects of the library with the funds they raise.
Then at 4:00 join us for our first TALK book discussion of the season. This Saturday we will be discussing the book "A Little Princess" by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Burnett is the author of the well-known book "A Secret Garden." Discussion leader is Anne Hawkins of Washburn University. Copies of the book are available for check out at the library. This program is brought to you by the Dodge City Public Library and the Kansas Humanities Council.
While at the library check out a new book to take home and read or a movie to share with the family. The library has materials for all ages in a variety of formats on a large number of topics. Find something to inform you or something just for fun. Don't have a library card? Bring an item with your current address on it and your first card is free.
More information about these programs and others and the resources available at the library can be found on the library's webpage at www.dcpl.info. Dodge City Public Library is located at 1001 North 2nd Ave.
