  • The Health Insurance Marketplace will be a new way for consumers to purchase health insurance beginning October 1, 2013.  The Marketplace in Kansas will be a Federally Facilitated Marketplace administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

On Thursday, September 12th at 7pm, Dodge City Public Library will be joining with other libraries across the state to present “The Health Insurance Marketplace 101.” This presentation, designed for those looking for health care options, will provide information about:
    ·         Health Insurance Marketplace
    ·         Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP)
    ·         Eligibility and Enrollment
    ·         New way to lower costs; monthly premiums
    ·         Personalized assistance
A CMS representative will be taking your questions at the end of the presentation.  Individuals and Small Businesses interested in learning about new health insurance options available in the Health Insurance Marketplace are encouraged to attend this information meeting.  If you have Medicare your coverage is protected.  Medicare isn’t part of the Health Insurance Marketplace established by the Affordable Care Act, so you don’t have to replace your Medicare coverage with Marketplace coverage.

Join us in the Lower Level Meeting Room at Dodge City Public Library for this informative program. For more information contact the library at 225-0248 or on the web at www.dcpl.info.
