  • The 16-year-old girl suspected in an attack at Lincoln Pius X High School has returned to Nebraska. The girl is being held in the Lancaster County Youth Attention Center. She arrived just before 7 p.m. Thursday. She was taken into custody on Tuesday in Woodson County, Kan., by officers responding to a report of someone with car trouble. Lancaster County Court records say the girl is charged as an adult with felony assault and use of a deadly weapon. The Associated Press is not using the girl's name because the AP generally doesn't identify juveniles accused of crimes. The knife and hammer attack occurred Monday morning inside a school bathroom. The victim was identified as 17-year-old Ellen Kopetzky. She's been released from a hospital after surgery for facial wounds.
