LIBERAL — The Dodge City High bowling teams recorded sweeps in beating Liberal and Holcomb in a triangular at Ayr Lanes.
The Red Demons picked up nine out of a possible 11 points against the Redskins for the second straight Western Athletic Conference showdown.
Dodge City bowled a 2,623 series and won all three Bakers' games for a total of 3,219 pins. Liberal bowled a 2,548 series and finished with 3,072 after the Bakers' round. Holcomb bowled 2,037 in series play and finished at 2,497 after their three Bakers' games.
Kaden Herbert again bowled three games over 200 to lead the Red Demons. Herbert bowled a 730 series after lines of 237, 245 and 248.
Jaden Fleener had a 656 series and bowled over 200 in each of his games as well (225, 205 and 226, respectively). Zachary Ridgeway bowled 614 (207 in the second and 211 in the third) and Dalton Krayenhagen bowled a 607 series (220 in the first game and 203 in the second). Shawn Burton had a 520 (200 in the third game) and Jan Korba rolled a 428.
The Lady Demons also scored nine out of a possible 11 points against the Lady Redskins after beating Liberal 2,017-1,908 in series play and 2,568-2,329 after the three Bakers' games.
Holcomb bowled 1,590 in the series and had 1,935 total pins.
Katlyn Tabor led the way for the Dodge City girls with a 564 series (223 in the third game) and Amanda Simmons had a 225 third game to finish her series at 544.
Samantha Reyes rolled a 514 series, followed by Cecilia Wiser (389), Mirissia Martinez (350) and Courtney Rogers (274).
The DCHS bowling team's next action will be on Jan. 28 in a triangular against Garden City and Holcomb at Spare Tyme Bowl Lanes, starting at 3 p.m.
