  • Mary Wilkerson has taken a position as the new administrator at Good Samaritan Society – Dodge City. Wilkerson hails from Florida and earned her degree in nursing home administration from the University of Central Florida. She brings experience in the healthcare field including working with rehabilitation therapy, patient financial services and patient admissions. She has also been a volunteer ombudsman for the state of Texas. “I’ve always been interested in meeting the needs of seniors,” Wilkerson said in a news release. “The person-centered care and homelike environment at Good Samaritan Society – Dodge City reflects my passion for working with older persons. I want to help make life as meaningful and full for them as possible.” “Mary is a great asset to the Good Samaritan team in Dodge City,” Director of Operations Randy Fitzgerald said. “I have been very impressed by Mary’s kind heart and devotion to our Christian mission.” Wilkerson started her new position Oct. 21. She said that so far the experience has been positive. “I love it,” Wilkerson said. “I love the staff and residents. I love the new people I get to meet in the community. It feels really good.” Good Samaritan Society – Dodge City is one of more than 240 long-term healthcare centers and senior living communities across the country owned and operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society. The mission of the Good Samaritan Society is to share God’s love in word and deed by providing shelter and supportive services to older persons and others in need.
