Two Dodge City businesses received bomb threats and evacuated patrons Tuesday night in an on-going police investigation.

Dodge City police responded a bomb threat call at KFC on 1210 W. Wyatt Earp Blvd. and evacuated customers and employees around 7:15 p.m., plus blocked off the street from 11th to 14th Avenues.

Police said they could not discuss either incident as they continue to investigate, but an employee confirmed after the establishment reopened that there was a bomb threat.

Law enforcement responded to a second bomb threat call at 8 p.m., this time in Presto's Convenience Store at 2615 E. Trail. Police were checking out dumpsters near the building for a possible explosive.

Police were still in Presto's doing their investigation at press time.
