Ford County resident, Robert Earl Hunter, 63, was arrested Saturday, March 15, in connection with rape allegations involving a child under the age of 14.

Ford County resident, Robert Earl Hunter, 63, was arrested Saturday, March 15, in connection with rape allegations involving a child under the age of 14. 

 Hunter appeared by video at the Ford County District Court, Monday, where he was charged with one count, rape with a child under the age of 14 when defendant was 18 years or older; and two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. 

 If convicted, each charge carries a potential life sentence with a possible fine of up to $500,000. 

 Defendant is scheduled for a docket preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. March 27, 2014. 

Garden City Attorney Stephen Cott was appointed to the case. 

 Hunter's bond is set at $300,000 stipulating he have no contact with alleged victim or witnesses in the case.
