DODGE CITY —

Please help us celebrate with a birthday card shower for Betty Jane (Spahn) Duesing who will be celebrating her 85th birthday on Sept. 12, 2008.  She was born in Edwards county on the Margaret and Fredrick Dolcheck, her maternal grandparents, farm and grew up near Offerle on the farm of her parents, Adam and Josephine Spahn.  She has one sister, Rosemary Nolde of Dodge City.  She married Eugene Duesing at Camp Forest, Tenn., in the Army Chapel on Base on Jan. 24, 1943.  Together they raised one daughter, Victoria of daughter and one son, the late Larry Duesing.  She has five grandchildren and their spouses and twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She worked for the law firm of Mitchell, Smith and Patton for many years before she joined J.C. Penney Company in a career that expanded until retirement.  Upon retirement, she went to sunny Arizona and returned to her hometown of Dodge City and worked for Midwest Hearing until her health intervened.
Her son in law and daughter,  Kenneth and Victoria Tague along with Betty's grandchildren and great-grandchildren would like to surprise her with a card shower and memory from all of you.  Cards can be sent to her home address at 1715 Third Ave., Apt. A, Dodge City, KS 67801.  Please share an old photo(s) and memories with her to make this a special birthday as she has played a major part in our lives and we are happy to celebrate with her this 85th birthday.
