Ruth McMillion, a lifelong resident of Ashland, will celebrate her 100 years of life with an open house hosted by her niece Evelyn Gilger of Wichita and daughter, Monica Moghadam of Plano, Texas. The event will be held in her childhood home, the Harvey House, on South Cedar in Ashland, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30.
Ruth served for 29 years as the news editor of the Clark County Clipper. She is the wife of the late Raymond G. McMillion, a farmer/rancher. They were married for 75 years, and she is now an active resident of Ashland Long Term Care, where birthday wishes can reach her at Box 338, Ashland, KS 67831.
