TOPEKA —

The Kansas Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board will meet again 11 a.m. Friday to select the developer of Ford County's state-owned casino.
The board was originally expected to choose a developer last week but postponed the decision, saying it needed the applicants to provide more solid information about the financial backing for their proposals. The board appeared concerned that the applicants might not have the financials to deliver on their promises, combined with broader worries about the marketplace.
The applicants have until Friday to submit additional evidence that they have the financing in place to make their proposals work.
The meeting to choose the developer will be held at the Ramada Inn in downtown Topeka.
