Dodge City Public Library offers two programs designed to make you more computer literate: a basic computer class at 3 p.m. Thursday and a Web development workshop for beginners at 10 a.m. Friday.
The Thursday basic computer workshop will cover how to use a mouse and keyboard and how to navigate the windows. Accessing the Internet will also be covered. Class size is limited, so pre-registration is suggested. A $5 fee will be charged for the two-hour class.
The Friday Web development workshop will be presented via teleconferencing by Trent Rose of the Salina Public Library, who will cover various methods used to create Web pages and get them online. The workshop will also cover methods used to create online photo galleries. There is no charge for the workshop, and registration is not required.
According to Cathy Reeves, library director, “If you’ve always wanted to set up a Web site but didn’t know how, here’s your chance to learn about it.”
For more information contact the Dodge City Public Library at (620) 225-0248 or visit their Web site at www.dcpl.info.
