Western Plains Medical Complex announced that Dr. James Moffitt has opened a new medical practice at 200 Ross Blvd. in Dodge City. The new practice, Family Care Clinic of Western Kansas, is located in the office previously occupied by retired oral surgeon Michael Milford, DDS.
In addition to Moffitt, the patients will also be seen by two nurse practitioners who will be providing family care: Karla Demuth, ARNP, and Shawna Miller, ARNP-BC. The practice is also offering family and individual counseling services with a licensed clinical social worker, Deb Moffitt, LSCSW. The clinic is providing some evening and Saturday hours and will accept walk-ins.
Moffitt has been on the active medical staff at Western Plains Medical Complex since July 2000. He also serves as the medical director of the hospital’s emergency department. Moffitt is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, Kan. He completed his residency at the Wesley Medical Center Family Practice in Wichita. He was previously in practice at Family Practice Associates.
