Conq VB wins three matches over the weekend

The Dodge City Community College Conquistador volleyball team went 3-1 in matches over the weekend. After losing in three sets to Clarendon (Texas) College Friday, Dodge beat Eastfield 25-21, 25-16 and 25-18.
    Saturday saw the Conqs pull out wins in two five-set nail-biters over Allen County CC and Richland (Texas) CC. The scores from the Allen County match were 16-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22 and 15-11. Dodge was down 1-9 before coming back to get the win.
    Dodge beat Richland 25-21, 22-25, 21-25, 25-14 and 15-7. Mikaela Holsten and Shannan Lane each had three blocks and Robin Somogyi added two more.
    The 19-15 Conqs host the Garden City CC Broncbusters Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the DCCC gymnasium.
