In fact, USD 347's beloved mascot was spotted in Dodge City at approximately 9:45 a.m., dancing around in front of Comanche Intermediate Center.
Corky was just one of the surprises waiting for the school's teachers, who had reported for duty following Dodge's district-wide welcome back breakfast at the high school. And at first, they didn't even know the wily coyote was there.
When the Comanche teachers arrived, they were greeted by huge circular sign that read "A New Beginning - 2009-2010" and a staff of student waiters, holding trays of drinks and snacks.
