Pictured above are (from left) Katie Wheatcroft and Cirissa Sain of Dodge City High School. Wheatcroft and Sain participated in the state champs 6A forensic tournament May 3 in Olathe. State champs is reserved for acts that earned either first place or second place at a qualifying tournament. Katie and Cirissa placed first at the Cimarron tournament. They performed a duet acting piece titled “Wit” at Olathe against other 6A teams across the state. They made the semifinals and then the finals and placed sixth overall at the tournament.
