DODGE CITY —

USD 443 Physical Education and Health teachers are excited about their new FITNESSGRAM materials from the district.
The new equipment has slightly different fitness tests than previous years, but shares the same goal: to promote regular physical activity among all youth.
Of particular importance is promoting activity patterns that lead to reduced health risk and improved health-related physical fitness.
Tests that students will be performing at all ages include, but are not limited to, height, weight, shoulder flexibility, trunk lift, PACER test and push-up test.
Various tests are designed to measure aerobic capacity, body composition, flexibility and muscular strength and endurance. Activities also aim to improve agility, speed, coordination, balance and power.
