Dwight and Jean Lynch of Shawnee are celebrating the engagement and upcoming marriage of thier daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth "Katy" to Justin Waco Goodnight, son of Greg and Pixie Goodnight of Englewood. Katy is the granddaughter oof Mrs. Vivian Schill and the late B.R. "Dick" Schill, Sr. of Newton and the late Delbert and Wanda Lynch of Kingman. Waco is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Bowker, Laverne, Okla. and Mr. and Mrs. Olis Goodnight, Englewood. Katy is a 2002 graduate of Chaparral High School near her hometown of Attica. She recieved her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas in 2006. Waco a 2002 graduate of Ashland High School, earned his Bachelors Degree in Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2006 also from the University of Kansas. Both grew up in rural Kansas attended KU for four years and then met as first year medical students at KU School of Medicine. They will complete there third year at KU Med this summer and will graduate in May of 2010. They have planned an afternoon wedding on Aug. 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help-Redemptorist Catholic Church with a reception following at Drexel Hall, Kansas City, MO.
