Kent and Lana Oleen of Manhattan are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke-Alise Paige Oleen to Donald Tyson Tieperman, son of Dana Tieperman of Dodge City, and Greg and Cindy Tieperman of Plano, Texas.
Brooke is the granddaughter of Fran and the late Robert (Bob) Scrimsher of Topeka and Robert and the late Florence Oleen of Dwight.
Tyson is the grandson of Beverly Sayre of Lawrence and the late Merle Sayre; Jerry Tieperman of Plano, Texas and the late Jim Tieperman of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; and Lucille and the late Bill Leitner of Bennington.
Brooke graduated from Manhattan High School and Tyson graduated from Dodge City High School. Both are graduates of Fort Hays State University, and they recently returned from teaching in Mexico. They now work in Denver, where she is employed as an environmental and energy policy associate for the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and he is employed in management with Lowe's Home Improvement.
The couple will be married on September 14, 2008 at Peace Lutheran Church in Manhattan. A reception/dance will be held at the Wareham Opera House following the ceremony.
