With shovel in hand, Cindy Reimer dug for buried treasure and found a love note in a bottle asking for her hand in marriage from Andrew Boehm. This had been buried in the Reimers’ yard back in July and dug up on New Year’s Eve. Cindy said “Yes,” and the wedding will be this summer on Aug. 7 in Protection.
Cindy is the daughter of Lloyd and Michelle Reimer. She was a 2008 graduate of South Central in Coldwater. She is going to John Brown University in Siloam, Ark., getting her degree in elementary education. Andrew is the son of Tom and Mary Boehm of Elbing. He graduated in 2007 from Remington High School in Whitewater. Andrew is also going to John Brown University, and he is getting his degree in construction management.
Cindy’s grandparents are Rolly and Marge Wiens and Anne L. Reimer. Andrew’s grandparents are Clarence and Delores Boehm and Ila Horner.
