Katie Payne and Ryan Smith of Austin, Texas announce their upcoming wedding, August 8, in Manhattan. Parents of the engaged couple are Don and Debbie Payne of Ingalls and Steve and Sharon Smith of Columbia, Missouri. The future bride, a 2001 graduate of Ingalls High School, received a bachelor's degree in political science and Spanish from Kansas State University in 2005. She will graduate from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin in 2010. The future groom, a 2001 graduate of Hickman High School, received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in 2005. He is a senior recruitment director for Teach for America in Austin, Texas. Katie is the granddaughter of Belle Breedlove of Kittrell, North Carolina and Leo and Joan Jantz of Cimarron, Kansas. Ryan is the grandson of Forrest and Katherine Kenney of Boonville and Albert and Zelma Smith of Maysville.
