Bob and Dona Lancaster, who will star in the Depot Theater Company's upcoming production of "On Golden Pond," have done these roles before.
In October 2004, they played Ethel and Norman Thayer on the Wichita Community Theatre stage. It turned out to be their last show together before they moved to Dodge City, where Bob became CEO of the Depot Theater Company and Dona eventually became director of the Carnegie Center for the Arts.
The couple had played husband and wife previously in "The Young Man from Atlanta" in Wichita. In 1989, Dona played Aunt Veta to Bob's Elwood P. Dowd in a production of "Harvey" at the Augusta Community Theatre.
"That was an interesting production," Dona said in an interview Thursday. "The actress originally cast as Aunt Veta dropped out two weeks before opening and I was assistant stage manager, so they asked me to step in."
