The Carnegie Center for the Arts has announced that its Second Saturday Family Art Adventure, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been rescheduled to a later date due to an unexpected problem with the artist's schedule.
Mary Dunkin, who was planning a session on beginning rug hooking, will present the session some time in the future.

Dictionary revision
If you look in a new dictionary, you'll now find a photo of the Dodge City Cowboy Band under the listing for "determination."
The band's first two concerts of the summer were rained out. Following last Tuesday's evening hail storm, director Dan Brinkley said the band's staff arrived at the Wright Park bandstand to find tree limbs and leaves littering the seating area, debris on stage and a section of the seating flooded.
"The flutes and I would have been sitting and standing in water, which doesn't work when you're using a microphone," Brinkley said.
The program for next Tuesday's concert will include selections from "Phantom of the Opera,” an arrangement of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," "Under the Double Eagle" by J.F. Wagner, the KU Marching Band arrangement of "Home on the Range" by James Barnes and "Suite from Carmen" by Georges Bizet.
"We also promise at least two Sousa marches in this concert," Brinkley said.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the bandshell in Wright Park.
Who's your grandpa?
The Dodge City Public Library is offering a beginning genealogy workshop for people who are interested in researching their family tree but don't have a clue where to start. Summer in the city
There are lots of ways to celebrate the summer vacation in Dodge City. You and your family should get down to Boot Hill for the country-style dinner, the gunfight at 7 p.m. and the world-famous Long Branch Variety Show starring Miss Kitty and her can-can dancers. Call (620) 227-8188 for information and to make reservations.
Don't forget Dodge City has one of only 11 drive-in movie theaters in operation in the state this summer. The drive-in's schedule is built around first-run movies this summer, paired with some great second features. It's one of the few forms of entertainment that's remained consistent since the 1950s, and families today enjoy a movie under the stars just as much as we did back then.
