The moment Jonell Sirois walked into a colleague's office at the Greensburg Family Practice clinic, the lights snapped on — even though Sirois hadn't touched a switch.
Sirois said once the lights are on, her colleague can make them brighter or dimmer to create an effect similar to daylight.
"It isn't a shining, fluorescent irritating light, and it's good colors," she said as she closed the office door. "So it's energizing. It's 'Hey, I want to be here.'"
As Sirois took a visitor through the building, she listed other special features: Windows that allow natural light to offset electricity. A state-of-the art electronic security system. A water wall in the basement, which creates a relaxing spot for lunch breaks.
