If you're going to search for the Dodge City Days medallion, you'll need three things: A knack for solving riddles, the patience to re-read the clues until you've unraveled their meaning and the insight to put them all together.
An extra pair of eyes wouldn't hurt, either.
"Careful looking is required because you're not going to just look and see it," said Ed O'Neal, production manager for the Daily Globe. "When you're out looking, you need to move the grass and weeds and make sure to look thoroughly."
As the organizer of the medallion hunt, O'Neal hides the prize each year and writes the riddling clues that give hints about its location. He keeps the hiding place a closely guarded secret so word doesn't leak out and ruin the fun.
