DODGE CITY —
A Huntsville, Texas, man was injured Friday afternoon when his semitruck fell on its side on Kansas Highway 34 in Clark County.
Jay L. Valentine, 30, was southbound on K-34, about five miles north of the junction with U.S. Highway 160, in a 2002 Freightliner semitruck and went around a right-hand curve, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported. The cargo in the truck shifted, causing the truck to fall onto its side in the south ditch.
Valentine was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, the KHP reported. He was taken to the Ashland Hospital for treatment.
Information about Valentine's condition was not available Sunday.
