Over 1400 people braved the cool weather to participate in the Outdoor Kansas Kids day at Meade State Park on Saturday May 3.  Children of all ages participated in sandcastle building, fishing, archery, wing shooting, crafts, treasure hunts and many more activities.

    Over 200 Ford County fourth-grade students gathered at the Ford County Fairgrounds recently for Farm Bureau's ninth annual “Day on the Farm."

    Writers receiving awards in the 2008 Literary Contest conducted by District 7 of the Kansas Authors Club were announced at a meeting held in Garden City on April 26.  A total of 28 entries were received in Prose and Poetry Categories.
