SCHEVE – MASKUS WEDDING

Megan Eileen Maskus and Justin Michael Scheve were united in marriage on July 26, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Spearville, KS.  Rev. Ted Stoecklein officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Bill and Lana Maskus, Wright, KS and Greg and Audrey Scheve, Spearville, KS.  Grandparents of the bride are William and Irene Maskus, Jetmore, KS and Roberta Satterlee and the late Oren Satterlee, Macksville, KS.  The groom’s grandparents are Delores Scheve and the late Bill Scheve, Spearville, KS and Marilyn Grasser and late Leo Grasser, Wright, KS.

Katrina Crane, Leawood, KS, friend of the bride, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Katie Peintner, Valley Falls, KS, friend of the bride; Melanie Scheve, Spearville, KS, sister of the groom; Lauren Gillespie, Liberty Hill, TX, friend of the bride; and Megan Zurovsky, Lenexa, KS, friend of the bride.  T. J. Ackerman, Valley Falls, KS, friend of the groom, was best man.  Denton Stein, Kansas City, KS; Lee Vierthaler, Spearville, KS; Tyler Konrade, Minneapolis, KS; and Kameron Kasselman, Austin, TX, friends of the groom, were groomsmen.

A reception, dinner, and dance was held following the ceremony at the St. John Parish Center, Spearville.

Following a cruise of Alaska’s Inside Passage, the couple is at home in Manhattan, KS.  The bride, a graduate of Spearville High School and Dodge City Community College, is a student at Kansas State University and will complete her degree in music education in May 2009.  The groom, a graduate of Spearville High School and Dodge City Community College, is employed as a contractor salesman for Mead Building Center, Manhattan, KS.
