Dodge City Duplicators Club
    New players are always welcome.  Games are played at the Senior Center Monday and Thursday at 7 p.m.  Two Wednesdays at 1 p.m. One Sunday at 2 p.m.   Call 227-8437 for more information.

Bas Bleu Club
    The October meeting of Bas Bleu was a coffee at the home of Jean Honnold with Nancy Tarwater cohosting.  Jan Harding presided over the meeting with 18 members present.  New yearbooks were passed out with the theme being First Ladies of  The White House.  An interesting program on Abigail Adams was given by Beth Hazen. The next meeting will be Nov. 7.

Dodge City Lions Club
    The Dodge City Lions Club met on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 at noon at Casey's Cowtown for its regular meeting.  The featured speaker was Alan R. Cunningham.  He is the superintendent of Schools for USD 443.  He talked about the school district's plans to convert Hennessy Hall on the old St. Mary's Campus into the middle school and plans to make improvements to the existing middle school.
    There will be a picnic supper at Lion's Park at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008.
    The next meeting will be at noon Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Casey's Cowtown.

Dodge City Dollies
    The Dodge City Dollies met at the home of Dina Herrmann on Sept. 16, 2008.  There were 13 members and one guest present.
    The meeting was called to order by President Dina Herrmann.  Barbara Halbgewachs read the July minutes.  The treasurer report was read.
    A report on the upcoming Market Place show and sale was given.  This will take place Oct. 11 at Hoover Pavilion in Wright Park, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This is the 27th annual show and sale the club has sponsored.  It will feature collectibles, antique to modern dolls, toys, antiques, baked goods and much more.
    The meeting was adjourned.  Dina Herrmann and Myrna Eastin served refreshments.
    The next meeting will be Nov. 12.  The meetings are open to anyone and the public is invited to attend.  For more information, contact Barbara Halbgewachs at 620-227-3950.
