Hesser - Unruh

    Stephanie Renae Hesser, Montezuma, was married to Jeffery Allen Unruh, also of Montezuma, at 7 p.m. July 7, 2007. The couple was married at the United Methodist Church, Dodge City, by the Rev. Lance Carrithers.
    Parents of the bride are Troy and Vicki Hesser, Montezuma. Parents of the groom are Kim and Marsha Unruh, Montezuma.
    The bride’s grandparents include Gay Beth Moore and Robert Briggs, Copeland; Don Moore, Liberal; Max and Maxine Grenard, LaJunta, Colo.; and the late Robert (Ed) Hesser.
    The groom’s grandparents are the late Wiley and Nelda Holderness, and Elmer and Helen Unruh.
    The maid of honor was Brigit Hesser, Montezuzma, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley Johns, Grandview, Mo., and Savannah Downing, Hays, friends of the couple.
    The best man was Eric Holderness, Manhattan, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Brett Pettibon, Lamar, Mo., and Robert Spies, Pittsburg, friends of the couple.
    Hannah Millershaski, Montezuma, friend of the bride, was the flower girl, Keith Millershaski, Montezuma, friend of the bride, and Christopher Wendel, Ingalls, friend of the groom, were ring bearers.
    Ushers included Cutter Moore, San Marcus, Texas; Blade Moore, Kansas City, Mo., Justin Martinez, Swink, Colo., cousins of the bride; Jacob Riley, Houston, cousin of the groom; and Jeremy Dunkle, Pittsburg, and Joe Schuletjans, Corpus Christi, Texas, friends of the couple.
    Audrey Holderness, Montezuma, cousin of the groom, and Justin Martinez, Swink, Colo., cousin of the bride, were candle lighters.  Gabby Morgan, Webb City, Mo., and Elise Johannesen, Pittsburg, friends of the couple, were guest book attendants.
     Gift attendants were Marly Hitz and Brazzi Unruh, both of Montezuma, cousins of the groom.
    Mary Lynne Bryant, Copeland, played the piano and Brad Rubin, Indianapolis, uncle of the groom, played the trumpet. Leah Wyckoff and Ken Richardson, North Richland Hills, Texas, cousins of the bride, played the flutes. Neal Dohrmann, Independence, Mo., friend of the couple, sang “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain.
    The reception was hosted by Doug and Shannon Moore, Montezuma, uncle and aunt of bride, and Mark and Arlene Holderness, Montezuma, uncle and aunt of groom, at the Dodge House in Dodge City. Those serving cake and punch include Emily Moore, Jessica Rubin, Heather Coulter (cousins of the groom), Kamela Wright, Karrie Millershaski, Jill Deges, Kathy Koehn (friends of the bride), Lori Fleming and Bev Crump (friends of the couple).
    Pat Koehn (great-aunt of the bride) arranged the flowers, and Grant and Treva Salmans (friends of the couple) videotaped the ceremony and reception.  Lynn Martin, Alva, Okla., was the photographer.
    Both the bride and groom graduated from South Gray High School, Montezuma. Stephanie graduated from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, with a degree in accounting in May 2007. Jeff graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in physical education in May 2008.
    The couple enjoyed a cruise to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios Jamaica in March.
    The couple resides in Pittsburg, where Stephanie is working as a staff accountant, for Monica Kroenke, CPA and working on her masters degree from Pittsburg State University. Jeff is currently working for Massa Cattle Co. while pursuing a teaching position.
