Southwest Kansas Association for Visually Impaired
The Southwest Kansas Association for Visually Impaired met at 2 p.m. May 8 at the Senior Citizens North High Rise in Dodge City. The president, Daisy Wasson, conducted the meeting.
The program was given by Debbie Allen of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, RSVP. Low-vision people can volunteer and can make telephone calls to check on others, help with office work, knit and sew, and in many other capacities. Volunteer hours given need to be reported through volunteer stations and need to be sent in monthly. Work may be done in cooperation with many community agencies.
