 Jack and Marilyn (Froetschner) Kersting of rural Offerle celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 7.  The couple was married June 7, 1959 at Zion Lutheran Church near Windthorst.  

    Dodge City Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution had three members attend the 111th State Conference, which was held in Topeka.  State Regent Shirley Coupal conducted the meeting.  Honored guest was President General Linda Gist Calvin, president of the National Society of DAR.  Registration showed 201 DAR members and 18 guests.  Dodge City chapter members attending were Patty Owens of Dodge City, Paul Baumann of Hutchinson, and Jacqualine Dunham of Plains.  Baumann is the chapter’s newest member.

    Happy Hour Club met Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Dodge City Senior Center with 21 members and one guest present.  Beulah Jones and Jean Lantis were hostesses.
