Hayrack ride to horror: Halloween started a week early for this vampire and her friends. They were treated to a hay ride around the DCCC campus by Area Mental Health and got free pumpkins grown in the Community Garden.

DODGE CITY —

    A mysterious horde of small creatures descended on the streets of Dodge City Saturday night, carrying large bags, knocking on doors and cackling with glee.
    Some of the strange little visitors paused periodically to stuff their mouths with treats, but most let nothing distract them from their primary goal. These were people on a mission, and they stuck to it with a steadfast resolve: to locate all sources of candy within the city limits, and to get as much of it as possible into their bags.
    Witches, lizards, monsters, superheroes, skeletons, pirates, ninjas and more strolled through the streets in the early evening, accompanied by parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
