City to make improvements on city systems

The City Commission approved several resolutions Monday to authorize repairs and improvements to several city systems.
    City commissioners unanimously voted to provide payment for the construction of improvements to the parking lot and access road at the Dodge City Regional Airport. With a vote of 3-0, the Commission also approved Resolutions 2008-09 and 10, which authorize improvements to the city's public water supply system and wastewater utility system.
      Ed Beckley recognized all city employees and other participates that assisted the Raceway Park in their seasonal work and in getting the track ready for the World of Outlaws show. 
    City Manager Ken Strobel thanked businesses and residents who have taken steps to clean up Dodge City for the upcoming Dodge City Days.
    The next budget work session will be Monday, July 28th, and the Review Board for the Lottery Commission will have a public hearing on July 31st on the Ford County casino applicants.
