Satanta boy injured in accident

    A Satanta boy was injured Sunday night as he was walking out of a driveway between cars.
    Darvin M. Puerto Jr., 5, was headed south out of the driveway at 512 S. Shoschone Court in Satanta when he was struck by a 1999 Ford Expedition driven by 15-year-old Edgar Olivas of Satanta, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported. Puerto was injured and taken to the Satanta District Hospital for treatment, but Olivas was unhurt.
    Olivas was wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred, the KHP reported.
     A hospital spokesman said Monday that the hospital does not release information about its patients' condition to the media.
