Thunderstorms are currently sweeping through the area, including reports of hail coming from Windhorst and water pooling near Spearville. Dodge City remains unaffected as of 8:30 p.m.
A notice sent out by the NWS in Dodge City has Ford, Edwards, Pratt and Kiowa Counties under sever thunderstorm warnings until 2 a.m. Friday morning.
Storms could produce winds up to 60 miles per hour and quarter-sized hail.
