The Dodge City Law narrowly take care of business on the road.

Dodge City Law 

Late game heroics secured the eighth win of the season for the Dodge City Law, as they rebounded from their road loss to the Wichita Force with a 65-62 win over the Duke City Gladiators on Saturday. 

This marks the second win of the season versus Duke City as the Law opened their season with a 59-52 home win.

Dodge City is now 8-2 on the season and is at the top of the the west division of the CIF. The win also guarantees a playoff spot for the Law.

Gladiator Lacien Walker punched in a five-yard run with 16 seconds left in the game, the third of three fourth quarter touchdowns Duke City scored, to take a 62-57 lead.

Six seconds later though, the Law would be back on top with Brandon Venson returning the ball for a 35-yard touchdown. Quarterback Rudy Johnson completed a two-point conversion pass to push the lead to three.

Johnson put up 225 yard passing with a touchdown and an interceptions to go along with three rushing touchdowns. Running back DJ Abnar led the Law in rushing, racking up 35 yards and two touchdowns.

The Law are off this weekend but will return home next week for the final regular season home game versus the Texas Revolution.
