1 Boot Hill

The 70th season of the Boot Hill Museum kicks off today.

The museum hours will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with gunfights held daily at noon and 7 p.m.

They will have a chuck wagon dinner at 6 p.m. and the variety show at 7:30 p.m.

According to the Boot Hill Museum website, this year there will also be new displays and exhibits in the Beeson gallery inside the Front Street Replica.

The additions will feature photography exhibit, Post Office exhibit, a Brothel exhibit and an updated "Guns that Won the West" exhibit.

Included with some of the new displays will be hands-on activities for visitors to enjoy.

The new displays were made possible through the Mariah Fund.

2 Biker Breakfast

Starting at 8 a.m., the American Legion in Bucklin will be hosting the Bucklin Biker's Breakfast Buffet on Sunday.

Tickets for the breakfast are $8 for adults and $4 for ages 12 and under.

3 Rodeo Finals

The Kansas Junior High School Rodeo Finals began this weekend at Western State Bank Expo Center.

Some of the best junior high athletes will be competing for the 2017 KJHSRA State Championship.

The competition will also determine the representatives for Kansas that will compete in the National Junior High Championship.

There will be three performances of two long go-rounds and one short-round.

The first rounds began on Friday and will continue today to select the short-go contestants that will be showcased at the Sunday competition.
