On Thursday, the National Soccer Coaches  Association of America named Dodge City junior goalkeeper Angie Ojeda to their 2017 NSCAA Girls High School All-Central Region Team.

The region includes players from Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Ojeda is one of two goalkeepers named to the All'Central Region Team and one of only eight underclassmen.

Ojeda and her team are coming off of a historic season finish, winning regionals for the first time in school history and winning the WAC title. They advanced to the WAC quarterfinals before falling to Topeka-Washburn Rural High School in the quarterfinals.

The junior was an instrumental part of the 10 shut-out that the Lady Demons recorded throughout the season.
